University of Michigan Institute for Research on Labor, Employment and the Economy (IRLEE)
The Institute for Research on Labor, Employment and the Economy (IRLEE) at the University of Michigan, established in 2008, builds on existing economic development and labor studies programs within the University.The Institute is part of the University’s efforts to better serve the citizens of the State, region, and nation during a time of economic restructuring and transformation.
IRLEE, with its focus on research and applications targeting economic transformation, provides intellectual content to better understand the nature of the impacts of restructuring and the kind of interventions that would be most effective in mitigating negative outcomes and exploring positive opportunities.
