Bio-Based Materials Study

The Bio-Based Materials Automotive Value Chain study examines the bio-based automotive parts and components market and identifies several successful approaches to increase commercialization of bio-based materials in automotive components. It was completed with support from Growth Dimensions for Belvidere and Boone County, Inc., and the US. Department of Energy.

This report, funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, offers new research on transitioning former automotive manufacturing sites to new purposes, including information from a new database that catalogues all closed facilities since 1979, and lessons learned from seven case study visits.
